Terms of service

Last updated: 20 July 2026

By installing or using ChatPanel (the "extension") or this website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use ChatPanel.

What ChatPanel is

ChatPanel is a Chrome extension that lets you run multiple isolated accounts of third-party web messengers and manage them from the browser side panel. It is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, Meta, Instagram, X, or any other service it works alongside. Your use of those services remains subject to their own terms.

Your account and use

  • You're responsible for the accounts you add and for complying with the terms of the services you connect to.
  • Don't use ChatPanel to break the law, to abuse a third-party service, or to interfere with the extension's operation or security.
  • You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

Free and Pro

ChatPanel offers a free tier and a paid subscription ("Pro"). Free-tier limits (including the number of isolated accounts) are described on the pricing page and may change over time. Pro unlocks additional capability as described there.

Billing

  • Payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's buyer terms.
  • Pro is a subscription that renews automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
  • Each plan may include a free trial; you're charged when the trial ends unless you cancel first.
  • You can cancel any time from the billing portal; access continues until the end of the period you've paid for.

Refunds and cancellation

Cancelling

You can cancel a subscription at any time, with no notice period and no cancellation fee, from Paddle's billing portal — reachable in ChatPanel under Settings → Account. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for, and are not charged again.

Cancelling during the 7-day free trial costs nothing at all — the first charge only happens when the trial ends.

Refunds

If you are not happy with ChatPanel Pro, email support@chatpanel.app within 14 days of a charge and we will refund it in full — no questions asked. This applies to the first charge on any plan, monthly, yearly or two-year.

After 14 days we do not refund the remainder of a billing period as a matter of course, because you can cancel at any time to stop the next one. If something has gone wrong — you were charged twice, a renewal caught you by surprise, or the extension does not work for you — write to us anyway and we will sort it out.

Refunds are issued by Paddle, our merchant of record, back to the original payment method. They normally appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

Your statutory rights

Nothing above limits the rights you have under consumer law where you live. In the EU and the UK, for example, you generally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract; the policy above is intended to match or exceed that.

What happens to your accounts

Cancelling or refunding never deletes anything. The accounts you added stay exactly where they are and keep working — you simply return to the free tier's limit and cannot add new ones beyond it until you are on Pro again.

Availability and changes

ChatPanel depends on third-party websites we don't control. Those sites can change or block how their pages work at any time, which may affect the extension. We may update, add, or remove features, and we may change these terms; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.

No warranty · limitation of liability

ChatPanel is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from the third-party services you use ChatPanel alongside. Nothing here limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
